In our qigong classes you'll have frequently used various tapping, stroking and massage techniques and you'll have learned about some important acupuncture points.
Sophie is an acupuncturist and my own area of expertise, EFT, also relates to the Chinese meridians and acupoints.
In EFT we tap on acupoints on the face, hands and upper body while focusing our attention on something that is bothering us. "Tapping", as EFT is affectionately known, is very calming to the nervous system and from a TCM perspective it moves and clears stuck energy / qi, allowing for harmonious flow in the body, emotions and spirits. When we focus on something stressful and tap at the same time, it allows us to reprogram the brain and physiology so that the stressor no longer triggers that fight-or-flight responses in our body. EFT tapping can be helpful for a range of issues, including trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, phobias, comfort eating, sleep issues, and many others.
I've been training others in EFT for 2 years and next month I'm running my first in-person training course in central London, 1-3 May. Many people on the courses are therapists and counsellors, and many others come simply to learn how to use EFT effectively for themselves and their families, to gain greater happiness, inner peace and feel more in control of their lives!
I'd love to offer a 25% discount to our class members and their friends, so if you or someone you know would like to join, email me for that discount!
